Terms of Use

These terms govern use of Alpena County Court Docket, a private Michigan reference resource. By visiting the site, using a search feature, or reading its materials, a visitor accepts these conditions. The resource is not operated by Alpena County, the 26th Judicial Circuit Court, the 88th District Court, Alpena County Probate Court, the Alpena County Clerk, or the Michigan Judicial Branch.

NO FCRA USE. Alpena County Court Docket is privately operated and has no affiliation with a government agency or court. It is not a consumer reporting agency. Neither this site nor a linked provider may be used for any Fair Credit Reporting Act purpose, including decisions about credit, employment, tenant screening, or insurance eligibility.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference service. It does not operate an Alpena County court docket, store official case files, file documents, set hearings, or issue certified copies. Its role is limited to describing public official routes, including the Alpena County Clerk for circuit records, the separate 88th District and Probate offices, and Michigan's MiCOURT Case Search.

The local courts and clerk, not this website, hold the official records. A public case-search result or register of actions can identify events and settings, but a filed motion, order, transcript, or recording may require a separate request from the responsible office.

2. Informational Use Only

Materials on this site are general information and not an official docket, a court order, or legal advice. Michigan court-record access is governed by MCR 8.119, while MCR 1.109 defines court records broadly. For Alpena circuit records, the current route is the 26th Circuit Access to Court Records Order and the responsible clerk or court.

Michigan FOIA does not control circuit judicial records. Under MCL 15.232, the judiciary and a county clerk acting as circuit-court clerk are excluded from the public-body definition. That distinction does not make public court records secret; it identifies the court-rule and local-order process that controls access.

3. Rules for Using This Site

By using this resource, you agree not to misuse the service, its content, or a linked public-information source.

  • Do not violate federal, Michigan, or local law.
  • Do not use information to stalk, harass, or threaten another person.
  • Do not use the site or a linked tool for an FCRA-regulated decision.
  • Do not attempt to bypass security or access a system without permission.
  • Do not run bots, scrapers, or other automated collection tools against the site.
  • Do not interfere with the service or another visitor's use of it.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Alpena County Court Docket is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and does not create consumer reports, credit reports, or background reports. The information here and any linked service must not be used for a decision the FCRA regulates.

  • Credit eligibility or lending decisions.
  • Employment decisions.
  • Tenant-screening decisions.
  • Insurance eligibility or rates.
  • Any other use governed by the FCRA.

A person who needs a report for one of those regulated uses must use an appropriately authorized provider. This resource is intended for locating official Alpena County court information and understanding a specific case route.

5. No Legal Advice

Nothing here is legal advice. Information about the 26th Circuit, 88th District, Probate Court, or the Alpena County Clerk cannot tell a visitor how a case, charge, order, or deadline applies to that person's circumstances. Seek advice from a licensed Michigan attorney for legal questions.

6. Accuracy Is Not Guaranteed

Information is provided as available and without a promise that it is complete, current, or error-free.

  • Office hours, fees, and procedures can change.
  • A linked service may be unavailable or return limited results.
  • Technical errors or interruptions can occur.
  • Official dockets can change after a search is run.

Cases can be filed, continued, restricted, dismissed, amended, or moved between courts. A hearing setting can also change. Confirm any date, case status, docket entry, or copy requirement with the Alpena court or clerk that maintains the original record before relying on it.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

This resource may link to county offices, Michigan court services, MiCOURT, and third-party search providers. A link opens an independent service that controls its own content, availability, charges, terms, and privacy practices. Alpena County Court Docket is not responsible for those separate services.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code on this site belong to Alpena County Court Docket or its content partners unless another owner is identified. No content may be copied, distributed, altered, or used to create a derivative work without prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the extent Michigan law permits, Alpena County Court Docket is not liable for damages arising from use of this site, its content, or an independent linked service. This includes a decision based on information that later proves incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold Alpena County Court Docket harmless from a claim, demand, or legal action arising from your use of this site in violation of these terms. This includes reasonable legal fees and related costs where permitted by law.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Any dispute related to use of Alpena County Court Docket must be brought in a court located in Michigan, subject to applicable law and jurisdictional requirements.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised from time to time. A revised version takes effect when posted on this page. Continued use after posting means acceptance of the updated terms.
