No Court-Record Data on File
Alpena County Court Docket does not host, compile, sell, or maintain an Alpena County case-record database. It provides general routing information for the 26th Circuit Court, 88th District Court, Probate Court, County Clerk, and MiCOURT. Under MCR 1.109, court records include recorded information filed or created under the court rules. MCR 8.119 governs trial-court record access, including case files, registers of actions, indexes, calendars, inspection, and copies.
Michigan FOIA does not control the judicial-record process for circuit court records. The judiciary, including a county clerk acting as circuit-court clerk, is excluded from the public-body definition in MCL 15.232. For Alpena circuit matters, use the 26th Circuit Access to Court Records Order and MCR 8.119 rather than treating a county FOIA request as the access route. Public access remains subject to statutes, court rules, and restriction orders.
